First attended a Hatha yoga class regularly while in graduate school in her 20’s, then returned to yoga about 10 years ago, in her 40’s when she found a wonderful weekly practice of Vinyasa in a small local studio. While working as a Grief Counselor and Spiritual Director, yoga has become a source of nourishment and balance for her body and mind. Melanie is now certified in 230 hour teacher training through the Yoga Center of Minneapolis, with special emphasis in yoga for emotional health and grief. She enjoys the benefits of a daily practice and loves seeing how yoga comforts and changes people. Committed to safety and comfort for all students, she believes that we can best open to change and growth when we feel safe and comfortable.
