Sonja Ramos is a Hatha Yoga teacher with 200 hours of training through Yoga North in Duluth, MN, which is also her hometown. Sonja's favorite place to do Yoga is outdoors in nature, along with outdoor adventures of various sorts including cross country skiing, hiking, trail running, mountain biking and the like! Sonja leads Yoga Adventures once per month with yoga outdoors, an outdoor adventure and tasty treats included as well. Her teaching style focuses on supporting the body as much as needed and not worrying about looking "perfect" or trying to force the body into postures. Sonja has a keen understanding that all bodies are unique and different and what may be easy for one person may actually be painful for another person! Sonja tailors her classes in a way that is welcoming and accessible for ALL body types and encourages the use of props to fully support and maintain comfort for the student.
Sonja has a degree in Outdoor Recreation and Education, is a certified Holistic Health Coach and a Certified Massage Therapist and practices Thai, Shiatsu and Therapeutic bodywork in Saint Paul, not far from River Stones Yoga.
Sonja lives in Saint Paul with her husband, 3 children, 2 cats and dog and is always up for an outdoor adventure of some sort!
